Hole 1

Par 4 356 yards Ben Hiant

The first shot of the day and what a "horror". This is a tough opening shot. You are playing up onto a plateau, from where you should be able to get a look at the green. The marker post you can see is approximately 185 yards from the tee. The secret to this shot is to try to get up to the marker or just beyond it. There is about 20 yards beyond it before the ground drops away into a gulley and rough comes into play. The further right you go, the longer you make the hole. There is plenty of room to the left of the marker. Good luck!

2nd shot

Hopefully this is similar to the view you will have after your tee shot, with Ben Hiant in the distance. You should now have a shot of approximately 155 - 180 yards to the green. The shot is as you see it. Big or right is not too good. The green has a ridge running from from to back right through the centre, so hitting the green on the same side of the pin makes the putt a lot easier.

Nice easy opening par!
